Piano Music at Your Merewood Wedding

Having worked regularly at Merewood for many years, Craig has a detailed understanding of how the venue flows and how best to position live music throughout the day. From the moment guests begin to take their seats for the ceremony through to the wedding breakfast and evening turnaround, music is expertly chosen to suit each part of the celebration and the guests present.

Ceremonies and wedding breakfasts are typically held in the Lonsdale Suite, where Craig’s portable baby grand pianos, available in white or gloss black, provide a strong visual centrepiece as well as excellent sound. There is also the option of ceremonies in the Green Room, and a piano setup for that space is also available.

Drinks receptions can take place indoors or outside on the terrace overlooking the lake, where live piano adds an extra sense of occasion to the setting. The terrace is a real sun trap and guests are drawn to this space on hot days. It doesn't get much better than enjoying live music with a cocktail in hand and a stuninng view to take in!

If you're unlucky with the Lake District weather, your drinks reception piano can take place in the bar if you have exclusive usem, or in the Green Room. A compact white stage piano provides a practical and stylish alternative in this case if space is at a premium.

Especially popular at Merewood, where guests always enjoy making live requests and singing along, is Craig’s unique Electronic Requests System, which allows songs to be sent directly from the table during the wedding breakfast. Music can then also continue into the early evening, where the bar is often the scene of a lively piano bar atmosphere ahead of a return to the function suite for the party.

Outdoor ceremony music is also available, giving couples the flexibility to make the most of Merewood’s gardens and views while still enjoying high-quality live piano throughout the day.
